Christmas Breaks 2012Our Christmas break is for three nights, arriving on Monday 24th December, departing after breakfast on Thursday 27th December. We’ll get you settled in and introduced to the team but many of you will already know Richard and myself from stays here over the years. We’ll introduce you to some great new members of the team too. Champagne and Canapés will be served prior to our special Christmas Eve dinner, giving you all the opportunity to meet each other or just relax at the start of your stay with us. After dinner, guests may wish to join our locals in the hotel bar, regarded locally as one of the best, with a great atmosphere and a buzzing friendly bunch, who will make you feel most welcome. You may choose to relax quietly over coffee and one of our superb Brandies, Armagnac, Calvados or even a glass of one of our numerous Vintage Ports. Those wishing to attend Midnight Mass will find both Anglican and Catholic churches close by, and on returning to the hotel, Warming Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows and Mince Pies are there for those who fancy that cosy nightcap. Breakfast will be served until 10.00 on Christmas Day morning, allowing that little extra time for the opening of your presents before a traditional British Christmas Day Lunch served in the Restaurant, from 12.30. Afterwards, relax in your room or the bar, lounge or in the Grafton Room, where you can sink in to one of our Leather Sofas, with a glass of port, sherry or a hot chocolate and a few mince pies. For those with the energy we can provide details of local scenic walks, brollies and even wellies. Christmas night, we hope a few of our local friends will join us and play various board games, or join in the trivia quiz. A light buffet will be served during the evening. BOXING DAYEnsure you eat a hearty Breakfast to prepare you for the Pantomime, at Bath’s Theatre Royal. Tickets must be requested at the time of booking, to guarantee a place. Oh, yes they do! We also have a treasure hunt around Tetbury for those who fancy a little light-hearted challenge and there’s a prize for the winners. A guided walk sets off from the Snooty Fox at 11am with the history of Tetbury and the surrounding area being shown and talked about on the tour. If you prefer to just amble along on a walk of your own, there are maps and guides at reception. Fancy some lunch at one of our sister properties at Upton St Leonards, Cheltenham, Winchcombe or Taunton? Get 25% discount on your food for Boxing Day Lunch. Just let us know which one you’ll be going to and we’ll take care of the rest and make sure that you have a wonderful time. Return 'home' to the 'Snooty', giving you an opportunity to relax and prepare for your final evening with us. A Kir Royale and canapés will precede a five course evening meal.
